Had to resched my PDOS to yesterday (June 7). Arrived there around 12:30 and just had enough time to finish registering and paying, and then quickly eat lunch, before 2PM.
After the PDOS schedule, I had to proceed to 3/F to do GCP. Medyo weird kasi though I have a foreigner wife, hindi naman sya ang nagsponsor sa akin. In fact kasama nga sya sa application namin. Hindi pa siguro nila naencounter ganun scenario so they just decided to have me do it. Oh well. Halos wala naman tinanong yung Guidance Counselor then I went back down sa 1/F to collect my passport and my son's, plus yung certificate na binigay nila that I underwent GCP.
Ok naman yun PDOS, marami nga matutunan. Things that I dont know yet and would help me settle in NZ. Sulit na rin yung time sa pagpunta.
Btw, anyone know the contact of the IMO (IOM)? Yung migration office where you can ask for assistance in helping you book your flight, then maging double yung allotted baggage allowance kung 1st time migrant ka?

Sa case namin mag-ina and hubby ko we didn't even go through IoM binigyan kami agad ni Qantas. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

Hi Lexington , kung sa qantas ka you can email qfmnlsales@holidaytours.net para i-avail ung 10kg extra for new migrant. hihingin lang nila yung passport bio page, visa, and yung reference number nung na-book mo na flight sa qantas.

Hi PK team, I'm not sure if this topic was already discussed in our group. I just to ask if there any requirements that needs to be processed here in the Philippines before flying to NZ? From what I researched, my wife and I need to attend a seminar for NZ. Thank you in advance and God bless us all!

Kapag po kaya working visa under partnership need pa pdos yun? Ty I was on that visa when I left Pinas. Hindi required. Check mo yung link from iNZ website sa thread. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards Hi ModM , I just got my open work visa (based on my partnership with an ESV holder). Went to CFO sabi nila di ko na need PDOS sa kanila since immigrant lang daw pina-process nila. I understand pati sa POEA di ko na rin need ng PDOS since dependent lang ako ng ESV holder/OFW? Tama po ba? 2nd question: INZ gave me a letter to show sa airport that I don't need to give them OEC since I don't have an employer yet. Ito ba ang letter na ito ang way ko for exit from Pinas or need ko pa ng special exit clearance from POEA? Thank you in advance for your help.

We're here in CFO Manila, waiting for the seminar to start. For those coming from the south (Alabang), you may take slex or skyway then continue driving until Quirino then turn left makikita na kagad ang building. If taking bus, sa Starmall Alabang meron Saint Rose to Lawton via Skway, fare is 40pesos at ibababa sa mismong tapat ng Citigold building. One ID, barcoded print out and passport lang pinakita namin. Now we know why 2 hours needed for verification process, may defect system nila and high probability matagal ang validation. Ours had to be re-entered in the system, 4 of 5 members missing information. More or less 40 minutes ang queuing and verification.

I have a pleasant experience with our PDOS last Oct 11, pumila lang kami ng isang oras para sa verification at payments, medyo madami tao that time. okay naman ang seminar, meron lang ako napansin na hindi yata updated ang speaker regarding RV to PRV policy, di ko na lang pinansin at pinalampas ko na lang. all in all informative naman, magkasama sa seminar yung AUS at NZ immigrants

Done with PDOS! I think useful naman but if you have done your research before migrating then most of it alam mo na. Parang hindi updated yung ibang info nila especially about bringing parents and siblings to NZ. Yung old rules pa naka-reflect.
Anyway, if you are going there and you are bringing a car very limited ang parking space. The other option is to park and eat in Shakey's across the street. If commute medyo malayo lalakarin pero may mga pedicabs kaming nakita na I think pwede kayong ihatid sa LRT station. If you don't mind shelling out a few bucks take Grab or Uber going there. Ang tip ko lang sa Uber na ginawa namin, we scheduled a ride in advance pauwi since may ganito na silang option. Rush hour na kasi ang tapos ng seminar so baka mahirapan kayo kumuha ng Grab, Uber or Taxi kung dun lang kayo magbo-book going home. It was very convenient for us, pag labas namin nandun na yung Uber.
Also, better to arrive in the morning before lunch to register and pay then have lunch at bumalik na lang sa venue ng 1pm.

aspiringkiwi, napansin mo ba yung sinabi nya regarding the conversion of RV to PRV? yung lenght of stay daw na kailangan? kami naman ginawa namin iniwan namin sasakyan sa Robinson's Place, nagtaxi kami from robinson's at tricycle pabalik, malapit lang naman

Hi MrWhite Oo nga, hindi rin updated even yung RV to PRV. Napansin ko most of the data quoted ang basis is 2014. Yung isang new news na nakuha ko is that in the near future wala ng visa label, e-visa na. At least tipid kung mag-expire passport kasi no need to pay for relabeling 😀

aspiringkiwi, oo nga, ganun na daw kasi sa australia ngayon eh kaya may possibilities na gayahin ng NZ. mas tipid nga yun kung ganun. isa pa, di ba sabi sa PDOS pwede i-total yung baggage allowance kung emigrant ka? kaso ininquire ko sa airline ko hindi daw, per piece pa rin daw sila, 3pcs na tig 23Kgs hindi pwedeng ireduce sa 2 pcs with the same weight as 3 pcs. di ba tinanong pa ng speaker kung naka book na kayo? kasi meron silang airline contacts nay may discounts daw at extra baggage allowance for emigrant, kaso during that time lahat ng attendees naka book na kami kaya nanghnayang sa discounts hahahah

MrWhite Only daw if you book through IOM mo makukuha yung benefits na yun. It's a NGO na ka-partner nila pero so far daw Australia and Canada pa lang hindi pa available for NZ flights. Which airline kayo? Let me know please kung okay based on your experience pag naka-byahe na kayo. Hindi pa kami naka-book kasi, still deciding. Iniisip ko na lang magpa-ship ng ibang gamit plus we are five (3kids + me and my husband) so medyo malaki na rin yung combined baggage allowance.
