Went to the Phil Embassy here in SG last Monday, they are charging 42SGD for Fingerprinting and/or Authentication. Kahit mag pa fingerprint ka na sa Cantonment (S$15), you still need to bring back sa embassy for authentication S$42.
If you want sa Embassy mag pa fingerprint, kelangan pa daw mag pa schedule online.
Hassle sa massel. hay...
Buti nalang i wont be needing the NBI yet as I'm coming to NZ on a Student Visa and my Wife on Work Visa as sponsored by my Student Visa.

Yes po, ang sabi nga dun sa embassy, kapag nagmamadali ka daw, go to the police station sa Cantonment to have your fingerprinting ($15) then ibalik sa embassy for authentication. no need na for appointment. pero need parin magbayad nung $42.
Philippine Embassy is every OFWs' thorn in the flesh. hehe

Even here sa NZ you have to pay a fee of $35 nzd to get the form and be assisted sa fingerprinting.

Sis ModM I remember my form was sent by my family together with other documents I needed from Pinas. Yung fingerprinting ko is from the police station which is free.

Yes sis aBiSh @admin pwede sya ganyan but what I meant is yung sa Philippine Embassy may bayad.

Kaya I always suggest whenever the applicants are already in New Zealand, wag na magpa-fingerprint sa Philippine Embassy para hindi masuportahan ang corruption.
If there are other ways to get it for free, go for it. Nakakahiya talaga.

Matindi talaga. Pati yang OEC na yan, money-making scheme. Anyways, hingi po ako ng advice/clarification. I got accepted na sa school jan sa NZ(postgrad) and in the process of applying my Student Visa (and partnership-supported work visa for my wife). Now regarding the NBI, since according po sa visa form, i would NOT need the police clearance if i am NOT planning to stay in NZ for more than 24 months. So ang naisip ko po, hindi muna ko mag provide ng NBI, since 1 year lang po yung study ko therefore ang student visa na ibibigay sa akin is 1 year lang din. Pero shempre po after studying i would also apply for resident/work visa. That is the time that I plan to provide the NBI. Since kelangan naman po is less than 6 months old yung NBI. Or is it still better to provide the NBI kahit na less than a year lang yung course ko? Sorry for the long-winded post. ? Thanks for the reply.

felipe there is a slim chance/window you will need an NBI clearance. Yes, it is true that you have a student visa and you will not be needing it but what if your wife gets a good job offer. In theory the roles can be reversed where your wife can become the principal applicant for an EoI towards residency. In fact I know a Pinay who was on work visa as partner of a student visa holder. I think after one or two months dito she got an offer for a permanent post so apply na sila ng residency with her as the main applicant. Although di ko na naalam what happened next. For me felipe I think tama lang na hindi na muna kumuha ng NBI when not needed kasi although 1 year ang validity nung papel mismo, usually when required sa immigration kailangan 6 months or less when issued. Nangyayari usually nagdadala tayo ng valid NBI tapos by the time na kailanganin, lapse na ang 6 months so kailangang kumuha ulit ng bago. Just keep in mind that getting an NBI while overseas takes a while though, a month or two ang safest lead time depende sa maraming factors.

OMG as in OMG. According to NBI these are my cases. 1. Murder 2. Rape 3. Illegal possession of firearms I was told by my brother to file an affidavit of denial.

Ouch. Mahirap siguro yan kasi may kapangalan ka pinoybizness. Are you able to fly quickly to Pinas? Not sure how you can do it abroad. Baka nga through the Affidavit of Denial.

ok here's my update, punta po kami sa Singapore Embassy told them that I got 'hit' on my nbi clearance. they told me that it's pretty normal specially with my surname 'DELA CRUZ'.
i googled some 'affidavit of denial for nbi clearance' change it accordingly and gave it to them. paid SGD 42 dollars again and was told to get it after 2 days. WHAAAAAAATTTT 2 days.
so i asked them can we expedite the process? yes was the answer but I need to pay additional SGD 50. okay no choice paid the amount and wait for less than 2 hrs.
then after that yun na they gave me the notarized affidavit of denial.

Pwede ko po ba i-attach yung photocopy ng passport ko as proof of identication + old NBI clearance sa letter? What I mean is pwede po bang photocopy lang yung ID na ise-send sa pinas o dapat original ID yung isasama?
Thanks po!

Hello Question po.
Applicable pa ba 'til now yung pag obtain ng nbi clearance na minention sa page 1 o mas madali na e process ngayon ang nbi clearance from abroad (nz)?
Im planning kasi to submit my residence application kaso ang nbi clearance ko na sinubmit sa kanila is 7mos old by now.
Thanks.

m83x thabk you. 1. Go to nbi site and fillup form 2. Print the form with reg. Code 3. Scan copy of passport 4. Scan id from abroad 5. 2x2 picture with white background After nito d clear kung saan e sisend and if ok lang ba e send sa consular office o embassy o need paba talaga send sa pinas representative and sila na mag poprocess? Huhuhu... bakit kaya mahirap mag process pag involve ang philippine government. Kasi ang malaysia police clearance ko madali lang like apply form and submit and pickup d clearance sa consular office.

jepoy246 tama yung info na nakuha mo. may nagsasabi na pag thru consular office, medyo matatagalan yung NBI clearance and mahirap ma track kung nasaan na yung document mo. kaya mas prefer nila na via representative na lang para at least makakuha ka ng update from them. kaya that's what i did, along with that NBI form you have you attach your photocopy of passport (certified by Justice of the Peace), nag sama na din ako ng photocopy ng visa page (certified din). tapos gumawa ako ng authorisation letter. Here's the address kung saan mo padadala yung docs. Ms. Sandra Sobida Mailed Clearance Section, 2nd floor NBCS Bldg., NBI Taft Ave., Ermita, Manila God bless sa residency natin
